April 2025, Baguette UX is closing down
I started my "Baguette” adventure in 2012, fresh from working with some of the very best full service creative agencies in the world, and inspired to offer my own UX expertise bundled with the talent of other designers.
There were fantastic years, and incredible work - from Eurostar’s new ticketing system interface to services for the government to smaller pieces that still helped alleviate user pain points and business frustrations.
By 2024, it was clear that UX had become very, very hard to sell to clients, seen as a “nice to have”, a hyphen to UI-design, and specialist services were no longer in demand. I decided to let go of Baguette and focus instead on my other venture, ezenka, which had been designed to serve startups and the Irish tech community.
I thank my fantastic team throughout the year: Tim, Antje, Laura, for having made my dream a reality - bringing superb design services to leading brands and products.
I thank all our clients for the trust they placed in us, and the collaboration they engaged in so we could design together and succeed.
I wish every entrepreneur as good a venture as I had with this company which served me so well.
